Las páginas se copian a un archivo nuevo, así que no se conservan los marcadores, los campos de formulario ni las firmas digitales de los archivos originales.

A job application wants one file, but you have a CV, a cover letter and two certificates. An accountant asks for twelve monthly statements, preferably as one PDF. Merging solves both: the pages of every file are copied, in order, into a single new document.

This merger works inside your browser. Add your PDFs, drag them into the right sequence and press Convert. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality; nothing is rasterized or recompressed. The files are read from your device and the merged PDF is created there too.

How PDF merging works

A PDF is a collection of objects: pages, fonts, images and the drawing instructions that place them. Merging creates an empty document and copies each page of each source file into it, together with the fonts and images that page uses. Nothing on the page is redrawn, which is why a merged file looks identical to the originals and usually weighs about as much as the inputs combined.

Some parts of a PDF belong to the document rather than to a page. Bookmarks (the outline in a viewer's sidebar), the document title and attached files are not carried over, and interactive form fields may stop behaving like a form. If those matter, check the merged file before sending it.

When to merge PDFs

Application and onboarding packs

Hiring, admissions and visa portals often allow a single upload per section. Merge your CV, references and certificates into one PDF in the order the instructions list them, and the reviewer reads them as one document.

Monthly statements and invoices

Bank statements, utility bills and supplier invoices arrive one file per month. Combining a year of them in date order makes tax returns, audits and expense checks far less tedious.

Assembling a report from parts

A report exported from Word, a spreadsheet saved as PDF and a scanned appendix can be joined into one file, so reviewers scroll through continuous pages instead of juggling three attachments.

Ordering files and handling problem files

Files are combined in the order of the list, which is numbered so you can see the sequence. Drag a file by its handle to move it; the handle also works from the keyboard. All pages of every file are included. To merge only certain pages, first extract them with Split PDF using a page range, then merge the parts.

If one file cannot be used, the merge does not quietly skip it. A password-protected PDF is named in an error message, the other files go back to the queue, and you can remove the locked file with its X button and press Convert again to merge the rest. A damaged file is reported the same way. Encrypted PDFs are not supported, so open such a file in a reader that knows the password and save an unprotected copy first.

Cómo usar esta herramienta

  1. Drop the PDFs you want to combine on the box above, or click Choose files. Each can be up to 200 MB.
  2. Drag the files into order; the top file comes first in the merged document.
  3. Press Convert.
  4. Download merged.pdf from the results. If a file was rejected, remove it and press Convert again to merge the others.

Limits of merging here

  • Password-protected or encrypted PDFs cannot be merged until the protection is removed.
  • Every page of every file is included; there is no page selection inside the merger.
  • Bookmarks, attachments and the document title are not kept, and form fields may not work in the merged file.
  • Existing digital signatures become invalid, because merging creates a new document.
  • Merging hundreds of megabytes on a phone can run out of memory. Merge in smaller groups, then merge the results.

Preguntas frecuentes

Is there a limit to how many PDFs I can merge?

There is no fixed number of files. Each one can be up to 200 MB, and the practical ceiling is your device's memory, since the whole merge happens there. A laptop typically handles dozens of ordinary documents at once.

Will merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?

No. Pages are copied with their original text, fonts and images rather than re-rendered, so the merged file looks exactly like the sources and text remains selectable and searchable.

One of my files is password-protected. What can I do?

The error names that file and the others stay in the queue. Remove it and merge the rest, or open it in a PDF reader with the password, save a copy without protection and add that copy instead.

Can I merge images and PDFs together?

Not directly, because this tool only accepts PDFs. Turn the images into a PDF with Images to PDF, then merge that file with your other documents here.
