Markdown is quick to write but you cannot paste it into an email template, an old CMS or a plain HTML page and expect it to render. This tool converts it on the fly. Type on the left and the formatted result appears on the right as you go, the way it will look on GitHub, in a README or on a documentation site.
When it looks right, copy the generated HTML with one click or download it as an .html file. The text never leaves your browser, so it is safe for private notes and unreleased documentation.
What the converter understands
Standard Markdown covers headings (# to ######), paragraphs, **bold**, *italic*, `inline code`, links, images, block quotes, ordered and unordered lists, horizontal rules and fenced or indented code blocks. With GitHub extensions switched on, which is the default, the converter also handles pipe tables with column alignment, ~~strikethrough~~, task lists written as - [ ] and - [x], and bare web addresses that turn into links automatically.
Plain Markdown treats a single line break inside a paragraph as a space, which surprises people who write one sentence per line. Turn on Keep single line breaks and every new line becomes a <br>, the way GitHub shows comments and issues. Raw HTML inside the Markdown is allowed, but everything that could run code is removed before it reaches the preview or the output.
Typical jobs for a Markdown to HTML converter
Checking a README before you push
Paste the file to see how tables, nested lists and code fences will render, and catch a missing blank line or an unclosed backtick before it appears on the project page.
Writing content for a site that only takes HTML
Many newsletter tools, legacy CMSs and e-commerce product fields accept HTML but not Markdown. Draft in Markdown, press Copy HTML and paste the result into their source view.
Sending a formatted document to someone
Download a complete page and the recipient can open it in any browser. It carries its own styles, adapts to light and dark mode, and has no scripts or external files.
Preview, HTML view and download
The Markdown is parsed by marked, a widely used open-source parser, and the HTML it produces is sanitized with DOMPurify before it is shown or copied. Both libraries load on first use and run on the page itself. Short documents update instantly; past about 50,000 characters the preview waits for a short pause in typing so the editor stays smooth. Links in the preview open in a new tab, so a stray click never loses what you typed.
Use the View switch to flip between Preview and HTML, the raw markup you will copy. Below the panes, counters show the number of words, headings and links and the size of the HTML. Download a complete page is on by default: the .html file then includes a document head, a title taken from your first heading and a GitHub-like stylesheet. Turn it off to download only the HTML fragment, ready to drop into your own template.
Bu araç nasıl kullanılır
- Type or paste your Markdown into the Markdown box, or press Sample to load an example that uses every feature.
- Set the switches: GitHub extensions, Keep single line breaks and Download a complete page.
- Check the Preview, or switch the View to HTML to see the markup.
- Press Copy HTML to put the markup on your clipboard, or Download to save it as document.html.
Limitations
- Code blocks are shown in a monospaced box without syntax colouring.
- Footnotes ([^1]), math formulas and Mermaid diagrams are not rendered: footnote markers and formulas stay as typed, and a Mermaid diagram appears as a code block.
- YAML front matter at the top of a file is not recognised. Remove it before pasting or it shows up in the result.
- Images are linked by their address, not embedded, so an image with a relative path only works when the HTML sits next to that file.
- There is no file picker: open a .md file in any text editor and paste its contents.
