Photos posted online get copied, cropped and reposted without credit all the time. A visible watermark does not make that impossible, but it keeps your name attached to the picture and makes casual reuse less tempting. This tool adds a text or logo watermark to JPG, PNG, WebP and other common image formats, and it does the same thing to a whole batch so you are not repeating the work picture by picture.
You adjust the mark on a live preview, check it on any image in the list, and download everything at full resolution. The images are drawn and saved by your browser, so unreleased shoots and client proofs are not sent to anyone.
What a photo watermark is for
A watermark is a semi-transparent mark laid over an image: usually a name, a copyright line such as © 2026 Jane Doe, a website address or a logo. A small mark in a corner credits the author while leaving the picture enjoyable. A large or repeated mark across the whole frame protects proofs and previews, because it cannot be cropped out without destroying the image.
This page is for photos and graphics. Documents need a different approach, since the stamp has to go on every page of a PDF; for that, use the PDF watermark tool instead.
Typical watermarking jobs
Client proofs for photographers
Before a client pays or picks favourites, send previews with a tiled, low-opacity name across each frame. They can judge the shots, but the files are of little use without the clean versions.
Product photos on marketplaces
Sellers on classified sites and social shops often find their pictures copied by other listings. A logo in the corner, at 40 to 60 percent opacity, shows where the photo came from.
Artwork and social posts
Illustrators, bakers and makers who post on Instagram or Pinterest add a handle like @studioname so reposts still lead back to them.
How the watermark is applied
Every setting is relative to the picture, so one configuration fits a batch of different sizes. Size is the width of the mark as a share of the image width, from 2 to 100 percent (30 by default). Distance from the edge and Spacing are percentages of the image's shorter side. A text mark is written in a semi-bold sans-serif face and scaled to fill that width, with an optional soft shadow so white text stays readable on light areas. A logo keeps its own proportions.
Choose one of nine positions on the 3 by 3 grid, or turn on Repeat across the image to tile the mark over the whole picture. Tiles are laid out in a brick pattern, with every other row shifted by half a step, which looks less mechanical than a plain grid and is harder to clone out. Rotation turns the mark up to 90 degrees either way. On export each image is decoded at full resolution, drawn on a canvas with the mark on top and encoded as JPG, PNG or WebP.
Bu araç nasıl kullanılır
- Drop up to 50 images on the box above, or click to choose them. Click a thumbnail to preview that image.
- Pick Text and type your watermark text, colour and shadow, or pick Logo and choose an image, ideally a PNG with a transparent background.
- Set Size, Opacity and Rotation, then choose a Position and Distance from the edge, or turn on Repeat across the image and set the Spacing.
- Choose the output format and quality. JPG at 90 is the default.
- Press the download button: one image downloads directly, several arrive as a ZIP.
Limitations
- The same settings apply to every image in the batch; you cannot place the mark differently on one picture.
- Text uses a single built-in typeface with no choice of font, weight or outline.
- JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas of PNG or WebP sources turn white in JPG output. Choose PNG or WebP to keep them.
- Camera metadata such as EXIF and GPS is not copied into the watermarked files, and a visible watermark can still be cropped or edited out by a determined person.
