Generators
7 toolsCreate passwords, QR codes, barcodes, hashes, UUIDs and test data on your device.
- Base64 Encoder and DecoderTurn text or any file into Base64, or turn Base64 back into the original bytes, without uploading anything.
- Hash Generator and Checksum CheckerFive hash algorithms at once for any text or file, plus a one-paste checksum comparison.
- UUID GeneratorRandom v4 or sortable v7 UUIDs, one or a thousand at a time, formatted the way your code expects.
- Password and Passphrase GeneratorRandom passwords from 4 to 128 characters, or word passphrases you can actually type, with the strength shown in bits.
- QR Code GeneratorStatic QR codes that never expire and never route through a tracking server, in PNG or print-ready SVG.
- Barcode GeneratorSix common linear barcode types, check digits calculated or verified for you, ready as PNG or SVG.
- Fake Data GeneratorRealistic but fictional records for tests, demos and prototypes, built on your device in JSON or CSV.
How these tools work
Generators create values that should stay private or that you need right away: passwords, identifiers, checksums and codes. Each one here runs in your browser, and the password and UUID generators draw their randomness from the browser's cryptographic random number generator, so a new secret is created on your device and never sent to a server.
Password Generator builds random passwords from 4 to 128 characters or word passphrases you can type, with the strength shown in bits. UUID Generator makes random version 4 or time-ordered version 7 identifiers, up to 1,000 at a time. Hash Generator computes MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 for text or files up to 1 GB and checks a download against its published checksum. Base64 Encoder turns text or files into Base64 and back.
QR Code Generator makes static codes for links, Wi-Fi, contacts, email, phone and SMS that never expire, and Barcode Generator draws Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, Code 39 and ITF-14 with the check digits worked out for you. Both download as PNG or SVG. Fake Data Generator fills up to 1,000 rows of fictional names, emails and addresses as JSON or CSV.
Frequently asked questions
Are generated passwords stored or sent anywhere?
No. Passwords are created in your browser with its cryptographic random number generator and are never sent to a server or saved. Copy the one you want into your password manager before you leave the page.
Do the QR codes expire?
No. They are static codes: the link or text is stored in the pattern itself, with no redirect or tracking server in between, so they keep working for as long as the content they point to exists.
Is MD5 still safe to use?
MD5 and SHA-1 are fine for checking that a download arrived intact, but they are broken for security uses such as storing passwords or signing data. Use SHA-256 or stronger when security matters.
Is the fake data based on real people?
No. Names, emails, phone numbers and addresses are assembled from word lists and random patterns, so any resemblance to a real person is coincidence and the data is safe for tests and demos.
