How these tools work

Every image tool on this page works on a copy of the picture that is already in your browser. The file is decoded by the browser's own image engine, processed on a canvas in a background worker and saved as a new file, so scans of documents, family photos and client artwork never pass through a server.

The converters cover the formats people get stuck with: WebP downloads that older programs refuse to open, iPhone HEIC photos, PNG screenshots too heavy to email, and JPGs you want as a lossless PNG before editing. Image to JPG, Image to PNG and Image to WebP accept a mixed folder of PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF files and convert it in one pass, with a ZIP download for the whole batch.

The editing tools handle the jobs that usually come next. Compress Image lowers the quality setting and shows the saving per file, Resize Image scales by percentage or to exact pixels, Crop Image cuts a free shape or a preset ratio, and Merge Images joins up to 30 pictures side by side, stacked or in a grid. Remove EXIF Data deletes location and camera details without touching a pixel, and Color Palette Extractor lists the dominant colours with their HEX, RGB and HSL codes.

For other formats, Image to AVIF makes the smallest files modern browsers show, PSD to PNG opens Photoshop files and Image to SVG traces a logo into vector shapes. Watermark Image stamps text or a logo on a whole batch, Adjust Image fixes exposure and colour, Compress Image to Size meets limits such as 100 KB, and EXIF Viewer shows what a photo reveals.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Each tool reads the file from your device, converts or edits it in your browser and offers the result as a download. Your images are never transmitted to a server, and they are released from memory when you close the page.

Is there a file size limit?

Each image can be up to 50 MB, or 100 MB for Remove EXIF Data and 300 MB for PSD to PNG. The converters take any number of files and process a batch one file after another, so a large batch simply takes longer; Watermark Image and Adjust Image handle up to 50 pictures at a time.

Which format should I use for a website?

WebP is usually smaller than JPG and PNG for both photos and graphics, and it keeps transparency. AVIF, made by Image to AVIF, is often smaller still, but some older apps cannot open it. Use JPG when a site or form only accepts JPEG, and PNG when you need a lossless copy for further editing.

Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos?

Yes. HEIC to JPG decodes HEIC and HEIF photos in your browser and saves ordinary JPGs that open on Windows, Android and every website.
