Presentation Editor is the site's slide editor, and it runs in your browser tab. It has the parts of a desktop presentation program in their usual places: a ribbon with Home, Insert, Design, Transitions, Animations, Slide Show, Review and View tabs, a thumbnail strip on the left that can be grouped into sections, the slide on the canvas, the speaker notes underneath and a Present button at the top right. It opens and saves PPTX files, so a deck can move between this editor and PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides, and it exports a PDF of the slides, notes pages or handouts.

The editor is delivered by this site and executed by your browser, so the deck never leaves your computer. There is no account, no upload and no watermark. The first visit downloads about 9 MB, which the browser keeps cached; later visits start in a moment.

What this presentation editor can do

A deck starts from a theme (eight are built in, each with a colour and font scheme) and slide masters with eleven layouts whose placeholders keep their position and formatting, so a new title slide or a two-column slide looks right without arranging anything. Text is edited in place with full font and paragraph formatting, bullets and numbering, columns, autofit and hyperlinks. The Insert tab adds pictures with crop and corrections, tables with styles, charts, basic SmartArt diagrams, text boxes and more than 150 preset shapes with adjust handles; shapes can be filled with colours, gradients, pictures or patterns, outlined with dashes and arrowheads, given shadows, glow, soft edges and reflections, merged with union, subtract and intersect operations, and joined with connectors that stay attached when a shape moves.

Transitions, including a morph transition between similar slides, and entrance, emphasis, exit and motion-path animations with by-paragraph builds are set on the Transitions and Animations tabs; the Slide Sorter view shows the transition under every slide. Speaker notes sit under the canvas, comments live in a pane, and headers, footers and slide numbers are set once for the deck. Present runs the slide show with a pen for drawing on slides and a presenter view with notes and timings; with the Fullscreen button above the editor the show fills the whole screen. The editor opens with a short sample deck so you can see the features in use; File > New starts a blank presentation.

When to use a presentation editor in the browser

Fixing a deck before a talk

You are at the venue with the PPTX on a USB stick and a laptop without an office suite. Open the deck here, swap the outdated chart, fix the typo on slide 12, reorder two slides and present straight from the browser, or save the corrected PPTX for the venue's machine.

Making a short deck from scratch

Pick a theme, add a title slide and a handful of content slides from the layouts, drop in pictures and a chart, write the speaker notes and export a PDF handout. The whole deck is done in one place without installing anything.

Presenting material that should stay private

Board decks, financial results and unreleased product plans should not be uploaded to a cloud editor to be shown. Because the whole application runs in your browser, nothing is transmitted, and the editor keeps working offline once its files are cached.

How the editor runs in your browser

The editor is a complete presentation engine compiled to WebAssembly: the slide model, the text layout, the shape geometry, the chart renderer and the PPTX reader and writer all run inside the page, and the canvas is drawn on the graphics card through WebGPU where the browser offers it and WebGL2 otherwise. That is why a current desktop browser is required. The frame is served by this site; no third-party host is involved.

Opening a deck reads it through the browser's file picker into memory, and Save or Export triggers a normal browser download. The themes, layouts, shapes and fonts are bundled with the editor, so a deck looks the same on every computer; a PPTX that uses a font the editor does not have is shown with a substitute and keeps the font name in the file. Every action in the editor is a command with undo, so a wrong move is one keystroke away from being taken back.

Bu araç nasıl kullanılır

  1. Wait for the editor to load. The first visit downloads about 9 MB; afterwards it starts from the browser cache.
  2. Use File > Open to load a PPTX, or File > New for a blank deck; the sample deck that opens first shows what the editor can do. Click into the editor once so keyboard shortcuts reach it.
  3. Build the slides with New Slide and the layouts, then add text, pictures, shapes, tables and charts from the ribbon, set transitions and write speaker notes under the canvas.
  4. Save a PPTX with File > Save, export a PDF or images with File > Export, or click Present to run the slide show. Use the Fullscreen button above the frame for the whole screen.

Limitations

  • A desktop browser with WebGL2 or WebGPU is required. Phones show a notice instead of the editor; tablets can open it, but the ribbon and the canvas expect a mouse and a keyboard.
  • The first load is about 9 MB. Later visits use the browser cache.
  • This is a capable editor for everyday work, not a complete substitute for a desktop presentation suite. A complex PPTX may not look identical: some animation and chart options, embedded fonts and certain media formats are not kept through a round trip.
  • Audio and video on slides play only in the formats the browser can decode, and a large media file makes the deck heavy, because the whole presentation is held in the tab's memory.
  • There is no save to disk without your action. Save or export before closing or reloading the tab.

Sıkça sorulan sorular

Is this Microsoft PowerPoint?

No. Presentation Editor is this site's own browser editor. It follows the ribbon layout, the slide and layout model and the shortcuts that desktop presentation programs share, so the skills transfer, and it opens and saves PPTX files, but it is a separate program and some advanced features are not there yet.

Are my presentations uploaded anywhere?

No. The editor runs entirely inside your browser tab. Decks you open are read from your disk into memory, and saving or exporting is a normal browser download. This site only delivers the editor's own files, the same as loading a page's JavaScript.

Can I present full screen from the browser?

Yes. Click Present to start the slide show inside the editor, then use the Fullscreen button above the frame (or press F11 in most browsers) so the slides fill the screen. Arrow keys and the space bar move between slides, and the pen draws on a slide during the show.

Will the deck open in PowerPoint afterwards?

Yes. Save writes a standard PPTX with the slides, layouts, masters, text, shapes, pictures, tables, charts, notes and transitions, which PowerPoint, Keynote and other programs open. Features the editor does not support yet may be simplified, so keep the original file when you edit a complex deck.

Can I export the slides as a PDF or images?

Yes. File > Export writes a PDF of the slides, of the notes pages or of handouts with several slides per page, with selectable text, or PNG and JPEG images of each slide. The PDF to Images and Images to PDF tools on this site can rework those files further.
